Meet Ron

Growing up Catholic there were two things in particular I was forbidden from doing: watching the television show Bewitched, and reading the daily horoscopes in the newspaper. Even at that young age I knew the kind of magic Samantha practiced like making dinner appear, making Gladys disappear, or levitating Darren's scotch on the rocks was achieved by fancy special effects. But the astrology column held a different kind of sway for me.

After I read the comics and perused Dear Abby, my mother inevitably would snatch the paper away before this little Pisces could find out what the stars had in store for him. Now that intrigued me. What was really behind these daily doses of advice, admonition, and augury?

You are creative, resourceful, and whole

A few years ago I met with an astrology client who was in his late 20s. John finished an undergraduate degree, but was "dragging his heals" when it came to applying to law school. He felt a bit aimless so he set up an astrology reading with me. During the session we discussed his father and uncle, who are both lawyers, and how it was expected that he would join them in the family business.
But he wasn't sure that's what he felt called to do.

We explored the symbolism of his moon in the sign of Aquarius, and it prompted us to consider feeding (the moon) the masses (Aquarius).
When I suggested this he lit up! John smiled and admitted that his dream is to start a business that makes restaurant-quality food that's available in local supermarkets.

The chart didn't predict anything. Its symbolism confirmed what John already knew for himself. It reaffirms my belief that the universe is conspiring to manifest our best intentions. That's what I call "astrology for living."

Training & Credentials

Over 25 years of study and practice

As a young adult my desire to learn more about astrology continued to grow, and I've had the good fortune to befriend several astrology mentors in my life, who have taught that astrology is both expressive and symbolic and yet can be simple and practical. I've now been studying astrology for over 25 years and have earned various certifications.

In 2023 Ron completed the STA Horary Practitioner course and holds a Level II certification from the NCGR. Over the years he's been a member of numerous astrology organizations, all of which promote professionalism, education, and ethical practices.

Coaching

Earlier this year I completed the course Fundamentals of Life Coaching for Astrologers through Kepler College. It was an amazing class and I discovered another way of approaching client work that is both more satisfying for me and more valuable for the client. I am currently enrolled in the Symbiosis Life Coaching training program and will be a certified Life Coach in January 2027.

Aside from astrology and coaching I also hold a Master's degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and have worked in technology for over 30 years. I'm an avid reader, good cook, and a double Pisces ♓️☀️🌙. I work remotely and live between Boston, MA and Miami, FL.
